12 System management via SMS
If the GSM telephone dialler is installed, you can manage your system via SMS .
By specifically programming the security alarm control unit you can:
•
Receive system events (i .e . any alarms, user access, etc,) on a mobile phone .
•
Control the system (launch scenarios, partialisations, output activation, etc .) .
CONTROL VIA SMS
Via the GSM telephone dialler you can manage the control unit remotely by sending SMS messages .
Actions available via SMS:
•
Query status of control unit, battery, 230 V AC network, fuses;
•
control unit activation / deactivation;
•
areas activation / deactivation;
•
outputs activation / deactivation;
•
query inputs;
•
temporary output exclusion;
•
query outputs;
•
events request .
SECURITY WITH SMSS
SMSs received will only be recognised as valid if:
•
they are sent from a number in the directory (if caller ID is enabled);
•
they are correct in form;
•
there is a valid user code in the code field .
COMPOSING SMS MESSAGES
Composing an SMS message .
'Description as you please'.'Key Word'.'User Code'.'Action'.
Example:
Control Unit Status.CRSMS.123456.9000.
The formalities of the SMS must be respected up to the final '.' (full stop) . The 'Description as you please' is only used for the user to clearly
describe what the SMS is doing but is not interpreted by the control unit .
WARNING: All the letters of the SMS (excluding the Description) must be in capitals .
'Description as you please': This text is ignored by the control unit but serves to describe the function to the user .
WARNING: do NOT use full stops "."within the description Only use a full stop at the end of the description .
'Key Word' --> 'xySMS'
X = C -> Control unit
X = D -> Home Automation
Y = R -> Reply -> to request a confirmation SMS once the action is executed.
Y = N -> No Reply
The key word is to signal that the SMS received is one that has to be decoded .
'User code' --> '123456'
The user code is used to enable the functions of some operations (arming/disarming etc .) . The code can even be shorter than 4 digits .
'Action': Identifies what action is wanted . Activity on the control unit, activity on the outputs, status requests, etc . See following table .
Below are listed the commands with the user code "123456", with request reply "R" and description "desc" .
WARNING: remember that the message must end with a full stop "."
