Brake-wear monitoring
To check brake wear, measure the idling torque of the double-spring brake!
Idling torque minimal 28 Nm
If Mmin is undershot, the wear limit of brake spring and brake drum has been reached.
Brake mechanism needs to be replaced
Work on the brake may only be executed by authorised and competent personnel.
Check idling torque:
(1) Remove transmission cover

4x screw M6
(2) Torque wrench with insert wrench size

8 insert on drum shaft and check idling tor-
que
Operating material / Recommended lubricant
Synthetic oils must not be mixed with mineral oils.
Brake area is lubricated for life with fully synthetic lubricant (oil
change usually not required)
Gear - lubricated for life
For perfect function of the wire rope winch we recommend to use a lubricant as per the upper table.
These special oils fulfil best the technical requirements with regard to viscosity (walk penetration) and pour
point.
The lubricants are based on ambient temperatures of -20° up to +40°C.
In case of extreme temperatures please contact us or the "Technical Services" of the listed mineral oil com-
panies.
Every other reputed brand of lubricant corresponding to the applicable specification of the table may be used
Waste lubricant has to be disposed according to legal regulations!
