The wire rope
should only be used for lifting, lowering or pulling of various loads and must not be used for
any other purpose
when filled to its capacity the drum flanges must project not less than 1.5-times the diameter
of the rope
examine and service regularly acc. to DIN 15020 page 2
in lowest position at least 3 full turns of rope should remain on the drum when loaded
fleet angle (see picture) for standard wire rope ≤3°, for special rope ≤1,5°
The criteria relating to maximum lateral rope deflection also apply for the rope course over
deflection pulleys.
In order to ensure controlled winding up of the wire rope, the pre-tensioning must be at least
1.2% of the minimum rope-breaking force.
If the rope is slackened (tension removed), the already wound rope will work loose. If wind-
ing under load is continued, the wire rope may be destroyed.
To prevent rope wear, first unwind the wire rope completely and then wind it up again
layer-by-layer under load
do not touch the rope inlet
only handle with safety gloves
slowly position the slack rope to the load

must not fall into the wire rope
must not be allowed to swing
The winch
Do not exceed the capacity of each rope layer.
Before taking into operation, a competent person must check:
the lifting device
electronic overload protection system
(if existing)
Electric parts
The electric connection or repair on electric parts may only be executed by trained ex-
perts.
Observe the safety regulations and standards of electrical engineering.
Works on the electric installation may only be executed with cleared power supply.
If necessary, an on-site lockable main switch may be required to interrupt the power supply, de-
pending on local conditions.

load hooks must be secured to the rope with a solid eye and
high pressure rope clamp and tested according to the regulations
