7.3.1 Information about installing and putting the LZ 70 into service without
a motor
•
When assembling a motor to the electric cylinder, pay attention to the axial alignment of the
motor shaft and drive shaft.
•
No cleaning agents may be allowed to enter the bearings.
•
When mounting couplings or motor adapters, the drive shaft should not be hit or knocked.
•
Design measures should be taken to prevent potential malfunction of the limit switch.
The relevant stop positions must be set up as required. Particularly in the case of overhead
mounting or if there is tensile load an external extension safeguard must be provided.
•
Lateral forces must not lead to toppling. No risk must arise from the electric cylinder if the
mains plug is pulled out.
•
The axial push rod safety mechanism 1 must only be removed after the motor is fitted.
•
If the push rod safety mechanism is removed prematurely, the push rod can move in an un-
controlled way.
•
When installing/removing the drive (motor assembly), the push rod must be secured to pre-
vent it moving..
