2. Uncritical area ( Area 1)
This area is considered as uncritical regarding the inner heat of the
enclosure.
Within this area there can be fitted terminals according the maximum
possible fitting (see line 4 "maximum numbers of terminals")
3. Critical area (2)
This area shows the max. permissible quantity of conductors with
consideration of the cross sections and the max. permanent current.
Within this area mixed fittings with electric circuits of different cross
sections are possible; you have to consider the load portions of each
single electric circuit (see sample calculation).
4. Dangerous area (3).
This table part is considered to be critical regarding the inner heating.
Within this area it is forbidden to equip.
5. Sample calculation for mixed assembly.

With mixed fittings Ex-e, Ex-i necessary minimum electrical spacing
according EN/IEC 60079-11 are to be considered.
6. The wiring with cable bundles, it is only allowed to bundle less than
6 wires (EN 60079-7; Abs. 6.7).
8. Protective and potential equalising conductor connection
Ex enclosures have to be grounded in accordance with the defaults in
EN/IEC 60079-ff., EN/IEC 61439-ff. as well as DIN VDE 0100-540:2012 (IEC
60364-5-54:2011). For the electrical grounding it must always guaranteed
that all grounding cross sections are dimensioned regarding the active nomi-
nal cross section. Metal flanges, covers, metal plates, plugs and metal glands
have to be includes within the potential equalisation!
Each terminal clamp of PE bars may accept two cables of up to 6 mm². If only
one cable is connected, this must be bent into a loop so that the terminal
clamp exerts an even contact pressure (see fig.).
Appropriate tightening torques of the grounding connections are taken into
account (see drawing and table)
