BM DESI-DP12
In the example (Fig. 14on page 117), the PLC output A0 was
allocated to the first output byte of the valve terminal system, A1
to the second, etc.
After the drop, WinDP assigns the address of the bus slave to
the PLC output in the E/A window. You can immediately see
which PLC addresses are still available.
If, however, a change-over valve is later replaced by a pulse
valve, the PROFIBUS DP must be newly configured since the
necessary PLC outputs are not occupied.
We recommend that PLC addresses be allocated to all input
and output bytes!

7.2.6 Configuring input/output modules

The I/O modules can now be configured as additional modules.
The module number sequence depends on the position of the
input module in the valve system. The first I/O module is the one
that is directly mounted on the bus coupler. It has the module
number M1. The I/O modules are numbered from the valve
terminal system bus coupler toward the outside.
O
Assign a module number to the existing/installed input/
output modules.
A maximum of 6 input or output modules can be connected
on the valve system. Observe the maximum current load!

7.2.7 Loading the master parameter set

1. Check the DIP switch settings on the bus master before
connecting the bus master and adjust them, if needed.
The bus master coupling field is set using the S4 DIP switch.
2. Establish a connection with the bus master.
After all PROFIBUS DP slaves are configured, the information in
the bus master file must be transferred to the bus master
together with the bus parameters set in WinDP.
