ADVANCED APPLICATION OPTIONS
Multi-Drive Feature (Mobile App Only)
Communications
MultiDrive Terminal Block wiring for communications should be from drive to drive in a (parallel) chain,
as shown above.
•
The termination DIP switches should be O O N N (up) on both ends of the network.
•
The shield wires should be connected together and grounded on one end only.
MultiDrive Parameter Programming
Set the following parameters to enable a multi-drive network:
M M u u l l t t i i D D r r i i v v e e S S e e t t : : This setting defines the number of drives in the system, including Lead and Lags.
M M u u l l t t i i D D r r i i v v e e I I D D : : This setting is used to assign a unique identification number (VFD 1-8) to each drive in
the system. IDs must be sequential without gaps. The Master will only recognize numbers up to the
total.
L L a a g g S S t t a a r r t t F F r r e e q q : : When Lead is running at a higher frequency than Lag Start Freq and Master pressure is
less than 95% of Setpoint for the duration of Lag Start Delay, then Master will command the next Lag
drive to start. The values of these settings on the Master are used and not the other drives. However, be-
cause the Master could change, the best practice is to set all drives the same.
L L a a g g S S t t o o p p F F r r e e q q : : When Lead is running at a lower frequency than Lag Stop Freq and Master pressure is
greater than 98% of Setpoint for the duration of Lag Stop Delay, then Master will command the last Lag
drive to stop. The values of these settings on the Master are used and not the other drives.
L L e e a a d d / / L L a a g g I I D D : : This (read only) value identifies the role of each drive in the network (Lead, Lag #, or Not
Ready) and is assigned by the Master.
A A l l t t e e r r n n a a t t i i o o n n : : On the Master, this setting determines if and how the Lead role will be rotated through the
network. If enabled, the Lead can be alternated either at a set time interval, or whenever the Master
power is cycled.
A A l l t t e e r r n n a a t t i i o o n n T T i i m m e e r r : : On the Master, this setting determines the length of time before the Lead alternates
if set to Timer.
