Power Circuit and Motor Connections
Use only copper wiring rated for 600 V with 75 °C insulation. Refer to
page 20
for wire size information.
Use hand tools only to tighten these terminal block screws to a maximum torque of:
AWG 20 to 6: 12 in-lbs (1.35 Nm)
AWG 20 to 2: 31 in-lbs (3.5 Nm)
AWG 16 to 2/0: 50 in-lbs (5.5 Nm)
1. P P o o w w e e r r I I n n p p u u t t C C o o n n n n e e c c t t o o r r : : Remove one of the knockouts on the bottom left
side of the drive. Route the power leads through the opening and connect
them to the Power Board terminal block (#1 above).
Use L1, L2, and Ground for 230 VAC single-phase incoming power.
Use L1, L2, L3, and Ground for three-phase incoming power.
2. J J 1 1 0 0 , , J J 1 1 1 1 E E M M C C J J u u m m p p e e r r s s : : Refer to
3. O O u u t t p p u u t t t t o o M M o o t t o o r r : : Route the motor leads through the center opening at the
bottom and connect them to the terminal block (#3 in the top image) positions
marked Ground, Red (W), Yellow (V), and Black (U).
For drives that include an dV/dt filter, motor connections are made at the ter-
minal block (#3 at right) on the left side of the dV/dt filter. In this case, the ter-
minals are marked Ground, Red (U), Yellow (V), and Black (W).
NOTE: Relay terminals accept wire sizes from 12 to 20 AWG and should be
tightened to a torque of 3 in-lbs (0.35 Nm).
4. S S y y s s t t e e m m R R u u n n R R e e l l a a y y : : This runs when the system is actively pumping. Both nor-
mally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) contacts are provided. The contacts
are rated 5 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for general purpose loads, or 2 A at 250
VAC/30 VDC for inductive loads (i.e. relay).
5. S S y y s s t t e e m m A A l l a a r r m m R R e e l l a a y y : : This runs when the system is faulted. Both normally-
open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) contacts are provided. The contacts are rated 5 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for general pur-
pose loads, or 2 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for inductive loads (i.e. relay).
NOTE: These relays are for general use in Ordinary Locations, as defined in the National Electrical Code. These circuits are not
recommended to control critical systems such as chemical dosing, fire alarms, systems in hazardous locations, etc.
