System connection
Connecting the Onkyo Separate Collection Series
components (See the A-922 amplifier instruction
manual for system connection.)
When the MD recorder is configured into a system with Onkyo
Separate Collection series components (A-922, T-422, C-722), the
following additional features are provided:
One-touch Play
Pressing the PLAY button of the MD-121 automatically selects the
"MD" input source on the A-922 before playing the MD.
Remote control of the System Components
You can control the operation of this MD recorder using the A-
922's remote control.
Timer Playback/Recording
You can record the desired broadcasting programs or play your
favorite MD at a specified time using the T-422's built-in timer.
CD-synchro Recording
When this function is enabled, you can immediately start recording
to the MD by pressing the PLAY button on the CD player.
MD-synchro Recording
When this function is enabled, you can immediately start recording
to the cassette tape by pressing the PLAY button on the MD
recorder.
Connections for remote control ( z )
When this is connected to an amplifier with the Onkyo z jack, you
are able to operate it by pressing the MD button on the amplifier's
supplied remote control.
Note:
• The z jacks are designed only to connect z-compatible
Onkyo products. So, be sure not to connect other manufac-
ture's components. Doing so causes the equipment to break
down.
• The upper and lower z remote control jacks have the same
function.
• Remote control operation is not possible when only the remote
control cable is connected – the audio connection cables must
also be connected.
