This work should be performed by an authorized workshop or a qualified ser-
vice technician only!
Preparations
- Remove the screw (1) and drain the cooling water.
- Remove the screw (2) and move the water pump cover (3) aside.

- Dismantle the foot brake lever.
- Remove the screw (4) and washer.
- Set the engine to ignition top dead center and mount the screw again wit-
hout the washer.
NOTE:

Before the screw (4) is mounted again, check through the hole whether the
position notch of the crankshaft is visible.
- Lay the motorcycle on its side.
