7.4 Avoiding flare-ups
Flare-ups are sudden flames that spark from the bowl when you
are grilling. They are usually caused by dripping fat or marinade.
During grilling, some flare-ups are normal. Too many flare-ups,
however, increase the temperature in the bowl and can ignite
accumulated fat. To avoid flare-ups:
Make sure the bowl is clean before you start grilling. We
recommend cleaning the bowl after each use.
Remove excess fat and marinade from the meat. You can
also use a grill pan for fatty and/or marinated meat.
7.5 Grilling under the Dome (Adam 50)
To use your appliance to its full potential, you can equip it with a
Dome. The Dome is a half-open, shell-shaped lid that reflects
the heat of the charcoal back onto the food. As a result, your
food is heated from the bottom and from the top. This allows
you, amongst others, to evenly cook large pieces of meat, to
prepare beer canned chickens and even to grill pizzas.
Use Dome 223.0050.000 for the Adam 50. For more
information on the Dome, refer to www.barbecook.com
7.6 Grilling under the lid (Adam 50 Top)
The Adam 50 Top is equipped with a removable lid. The lid
reflects and holds the heat. This allows you to evenly cook large
pieces of meat, to prepare beer canned chickens and even to
grill pizzas. Proceed as follows:
Open the lid when the fire is intense.
Close the lid at low heat for to slowly cook large pieces of
meat.
