Safety instructions
Safety-relevant component!
The overrun hitch is a component of the
brake system. Irrespective of the service
intervals for the overrun hitch, the brake
system must be checked by a specialist
workshop after 1500 km or 6 months.
During maintenance, care and inspection work, all
system components must be checked to ensure
they are in a safe operating condition and in per-
fect working order
Limited liability
Checking the brake system does not mean
that the prescribed maintenance measures
for the overrun hitch can be neglected.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for in-
jury to personnel and damage to material attri-
butable to failure to comply with the safety re-
gulations and to carry out the indicated main-
tenance work.
Maintenance and care
DANGER!
Always secure the trailer with chocks
prior to performing any maintenance and
care jobs!

every 6 months
Clean toothed lock washers.
Apply water-repellent grease.
Grease the locking toggle.
every 10000 - 15000 km or every 12 months
Lubricate or oil sliding and articulation points
on the overrun hitch (8).
Lubricant type: Multi-purpose grease acc. to DIN
51825
Check the shock absorber of the overrun
hitch.
Repair work
CAUTION!
Repair work may only be carried out by
competent specialist workshops or our
AL-KO Service Centres.
If repairs are necessary, an extensive network
of AL-KO Service Centres is available for our
customers across Europe.
