OPERATION
If the drawbar is not used for a long time,
loosen the side parts by jerking upwards
and sideways.
Adjust the intermediate piece (1)
Step 1: Adjusting on the drawbar tube
1. Pull out the spring cotter pin (1-1).
2. Undo the locking toggle (1-2).
The intermediate piece can now be mo-
ved 50° upwards and 10° downwards.
3. Tighten the locking toggle again and secure it
with a hammer blow (hard rubber hammer).
4. Insert the spring cotter pin.
Adjust the overrun hitch (2)
Step 2: Adjusting at the overrun hitch/hitch
components
1. Pull out the spring cotter pin (2-1).
2. Undo the locking toggle (2-2).
3. Set the overrun hitch/hitch components paral-
lel to the drawbar.
4. Tighten the locking toggle again and secure it
with a hammer blow (hard rubber hammer).
5. Insert the spring cotter pin.
Applying/releasing the handbrake
Applying the handbrake
1. Always pull the handbrake firmly past the
dead centre point.
If the trailer is uncoupled from the towing ve-
hicle, then the following must be done:
the parking brake must be engaged.
the trailer must be secured with two addi-
tional chocks.
When parking or laying up the vehicle/trai-
ler combination, engage the trailer's parking
brake.
CAUTION!
The trailer may roll back 25 to 30 cm un-
til the full force of the brake takes effect!
When laying up the trailer, ensure suffi-
cient clearance.
CAUTION!
When you apply the parking brake en-
sure that it functions correctly.

Incorrect function may be noticeable by the follo-
wing:
Noticeable loss of force
The handbrake lever does not move smoothly
The handbrake is difficult to move
Loose components
On handbrake levers with gas spring support also
by the following:
Visible corrosion or damage to the gas spring
piston rod
Visible oil loss from the gas springs
Releasing the handbrake
1. Return the handbrake lever to its initial posi-
tion
The dead centre point can clearly be felt.
Attaching the breakaway cable
Safety
Always attach the breakaway cable so that
cornering is possible without problems.
The breakaway cable is not allowed to wind
itself around the support wheel whilst driving.
Take account of special regulations in specific
countries.

CAUTION!
Do not use with a removable tow hitch! If
the hitch is not engaged correctly, there
is a risk that the hitch and trailer could be
lost.
1. Loop the breakaway cable around the ball
neck.
2. Clip the snap hook onto the cable.
Variant 1 (5)
1. Insert the snap hook through the eye provided
on the towing vehicle.
2. Clip the snap hook onto the cable.
Variant 2 (6)
CAUTION!
Only permitted with snap hook acc. to
DIN 5299 - min. 70 mm (fire brigade snap
hook).
1. Clip the snap hook into the eye provided.
