II.4.1

PACKAGING, COMPONENTS

DANGER!
Do not open or keep packing until the installation
point. Do not leave the packaging within reach of
children.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Dispose of the packaging materials in compliance
with the national or local legislation in force in your
country.
The EWMIM 120÷130 models are supplied:
 covered by a cardboard package;
The EWMIM 138÷262 models are supplied:
 covered with nylon shrink-wrap.
Each unit is supplied complete with:
 User instructions;
 Electronic control manual
 Wiring diagram;
 Warranty document;
 Operating and maintenance manual for pumps, fans, inverter and
safety valves.
II.4.2

LIFTING AND HANDLING

DANGER!
Movement of the unit must be performed with care,
in order to avoid damage to the external structure
and to the internal mechanical and electrical
components. Also make sure that there are no
obstacles or people along the route, in order to
prevent the risk of impact, crushing or tipping the
lifting and handling device.
ATTENTION!
Do not stack loads above the unit as the top of the
unit may become deformed or damaged.

The unit is supplied on a wooden support structure, which is used to
facilitate handling the unit with a forklift or hand truck. Use this method
to move the unit close to the installation area.
Once the final installation area is reached, remove the lower wooden
structure (unscrew the 4 screws). Once its suitability has been ensured
(capacity and wear conditions), pass the belts through the passages on
the unit base. Tension the belts ensuring that they adhere to the
passage upper edge; lift the unit a few centimetres, and only after
having verified that the load is stable, remove the pallet while taking
care not to interpose any part of the body in order to prevent any risk of
crushing or impact due to the load falling or moving suddenly. Carefully
carry the unit to the installation site. Lower the unit carefully and fix it
into place.

Use a forklift truck or pallet truck to bring the unit with the packaging
intact near the final installation site.
Once its suitability has been ensured (capacity and wear conditions),
pass the belts through the passages on the unit base. Tension the belts
ensuring that they adhere to the passage upper edge; Lift the unit a few
centimetres, then, only after checking the stability of the load, carefully
carry the unit to the installation site.
Lower the unit carefully and fix it into place. Be careful not to interpose
body parts one handling in order to eliminate any possible risk of
crushing or any other injury if the load drops or shifts suddenly.
II.4.2.1 Handling guidelines
DANGER!
An off-centred barycentre could cause sudden and
hazardous movements. Movement of the unit must
be performed with care, in order to avoid damage to
the external structure and to the internal
mechanical and electrical components. Also make
sure that there are no obstacles or people along the
way to avoid the danger of collision, crushing or
overturning of the lifting equipment.
