SECTION 8 − TROUBLESHOOTING

8-1. Troubleshooting Table

Trouble
Motor/blower will not start or continue
running.
Decreased air flow.
Filter cleaning system does not
operate.
Filter cleaning system does not clean
filter.
Fume extractor discharges fumes or
particles.
Extraction arm does not stay in
position.
Extraction arm does not turn easily.
Check input power connections (Section 5-12).
Reset Circuit Breaker CB1 (See Section 7-2)
Have Factory Authorized Service Agent check motor and wiring.
Reconnect extraction arm flexible tubing.
Inspect extraction arm tubing and replace if damaged.
Remove obstructions from fume extraction arm.
Open extraction arm air damper (Section 6-2).
Remove debris from spark guard (Section A).
Clean or replace filter (Sections 7-3 and 7-4).
Have Factory Authorized Service Agent check for correct fan rotation (counterclockwise as viewed
from shaft end of motor).
Check fuse F1, and replace if open. (See Section 7-2).
Check compressed air connections.
Replace dirty (plugged) filter.
Have Factory Authorized Service Agent check filter cleaning system.
Inspect filter (including gasket) and replace if damaged or dirty. Be sure filter is installed properly.
(See Section 7-3 or 7-4).
Properly insert particle drawer.
Adjust extraction arm joints (See Extraction Arm Owner's Manual).
Clean swivel base bearings.
Remedy
