Possible cause
Fuel tank empty.
Stale fuel.
Engine in a cold state, choke not set
to "
/ON/CHOKE".
Throttle not set to "
Spark plug terminal not attached.
Spark plug contaminated or defective.
Primer not actuated.
Choke lever set to "
Spark plug terminal loosely attached.
Stale fuel. Water or dirt in the fuel system. Drain off stale fuel into a suitable vessel
Fuel tank cap vent blocked.
Sweeping brushes very dirty.
Clutch cable for sweeping brush drive
not set correctly.
V-belt loose or torn.
Clutch cable for travel drive not set
correctly.
V-belt loose or torn.
Brush pressure too high.
Sweeping brushes worn.
Collecting tank (accessories)
not attached correctly.
Loose parts, damaged sweeping brushes
or damaged drive parts.
Clutch cable for travel drive not set
correctly.
Remedy
Refill the fuel tank.
Drain off stale fuel into a suitable vessel
in the open air
Refill tank with clean, fresh fuel.
Set choke set to "
/FAST".
Set throttle to "
Attach spark plug terminal to spark plug.
Clean spark plug
plug replaced
Press primer.
/ON/CHOKE".
Set choke to "RUN/OFF/
Firmly attach spark plug terminal.

Adjust support wheels to reduce
the brush pressure.
Replace brush rollers in pairs.
Attach collecting tank correctly.

Tighten loose screws and nuts.
Have damaged parts repaired
