Replacing the sweeping
brushes
Caution
The sweeping brushes must be
checked regularly for wear and tear.
If the sweeping result is no longer
satisfactory or the brush diameter is
only approx. 280 mm, the sweeping
brushes should be replaced.
Use original sweeping brushes only
and always replace them in pairs.

Remove the screws from the left
side part on the impact guard
of the sweeping machine and
remove the side part.
Remove screw and nut from the
left sweeping brush and remove
the sweeping brush, outwards,
from the drive shaft.
Push on a new sweeping roller,
with the flat brush side facing
outwards, onto the drive shaft
Align the mounting hole of the
sweeping brush with the hole
in the drive shaft.
Re-attach sweeping brush to the
drive shaft with the screw and nut.
Re-attach side part with the
screws.
The installation steps are the same
for replacing the right sweeping
brush.

Immobilizing

to ignition of fuel fumes
Before you immobilize the machine,
empty the fuel tank into a suitable
vessel in the open air (see "Engine
instructions").
If the machine will not be used
for more than a month, e.g. when
the season is over:
Prepare the engine (see engine
instructions).
Clean machine.
To protect against rust, wipe
all metal parts with an oily rag
or spray with oil.
Store the machine in a clean and
dry room.
Store the device in such a way
that the sweeping brush bristles
are not damaged.
Move support wheels all the way
down so that the bristles have
no or only minimum contact with
the ground.
Note
When the unit is pulled back and
the support wheels turn by 180°,
the sweeping brushes are lifted
off the ground (Fig. 13).

power, power measurement, speci-
fications, warranties, and service.

be found in the owner/operator
handbook provided separately
by the engine manufacturer.

Troubleshooting aid

Danger of injury from

inadvertent starting
Before all work on this machine
– switch OFF the engine,
– activate the parking brake,
– wait until all moving parts have
come to a complete stop and
the engine has cooled down,
– remove the spark plug connector
on the engine in order to prevent
the engine from accidentally
being started.
Caution
Faults which occur during operation
of the unit have in part simple
causes which you can rectify your-
self. If in any doubt, or if expressly
instructed to do so, seek advice
from a specialist workshop.
Only permit repairs to be made
by a specialist workshop and using
original spare parts.
