Safety devices are provided for your pro-
tection and must always function pro-
perly.
You must not modify safety devices in
any way or bypass their function.

The grass flap protects you against pos-
sible injuries resulting from the cutting
blade or objects that are propelled by it.
The unit may only be operated with the
grass flap attached.
Safety interlock system
The safety interlock system will only
allow the engine to start when
– the driver is sitting on the seat,
– the PTO switch is at the OFF position,
– both drive control levers are in the
outer neutral recesses.
Note: At the same time the parking
brake is activated in this position (park
position).
The safety lock system switches OFF the
engine when the operator leaves the
driver's seat without engaging the
parking brake and/or the PTO switch is at
the OFF position.
Note: To restart the engine you must first
set the PTO switch to the OFF position.
If units do not feature the OCR function
or if the OCR function is deactivated, the
safety interlock system will prevent
reversing while the cutter deck is
switched on (automatic disconnection of
the cutter deck).
Note: To switch on the cutter deck again,
both drive control levers must be in
