Risks of injury

❐ Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
❐ Attention! Hot surfaces! Only hold the device by the plastic handles during
operation and shortly after turning it off. We recommend you wear kitchen gloves
when handling the device.
❐ Attention! Burn hazard! Hot steam may be emitted from the device during operation.
Be careful when removing meals from the device and when inserting them.

For your health

❐ There may be some production residues stuck to the device. To avoid health risks,
clean the individual plates thoroughly before fi rst use (see chapter "Before fi rst use",
section "Cleaning the device and plates").
❐ It is possible that smoke and odour may be produced the fi rst time you use the device.
This is not unusual and has no bearing on the device safety.
❐ Clean the device and the plates after every use to prevent the build-up of germs.

The right location

❐ Only use the device in enclosed areas.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant surface with adequate
space on all sides.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in
order to prevent damage to the device.
❐ Do not use the device when water or other liquids are nearby in order to avoid the
risk of electrical shock.
❐ The device should never be set up and used when highly fl ammable materials are
nearby (curtains, textiles, etc.).
❐ Never use the device on a stove top or if a gas source is nearby.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.
The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected.
The mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device (see chapter
"Technical data").
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow
the mains cord to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen worktops. Someone could
catch him / herself and pull down the device.
❐ Lay the mains cord such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
