Safety Instructions

Dangers of Injury
Keep children and animals away from the packaging material and the product. There
is a danger of suffocation!
The product is not designed to be used by individuals (including children) with limited
sensory or mental abilities or those without suffi cient experience and/or knowledge,
unless they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety or have received
instructions from them on how to use the product. Children must be supervised in
order to ensure that they do not play with the product.
CAUTION! The blades are sharp! Handle the product with care!
Only hold the inserts by the handles and surfaces which are provided for this purpose.
When using the grating inserts: Never cut up smaller items of food or the ends of
larger pieces of food without the fi nger guard!
When using the grid inserts: Cut up food only by pressing down on the plunger! Do
not attempt to push food through the cutting inserts by hand.
Only ever use the cleaning scraper which is supplied to remove food residues from
inserts.
Notes on Hygiene
There may still be some production residues on the product. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, clean it thoroughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Stor-
age" chapter).
Clean all inserts immediately after use to prevent the formation of germs!
The Proper Handling of the Product
Always place the product on a dry, fl at, stable and non-slip surface.
The product should only be used if is correctly assembled, is not damaged and is in
good working order.
If the product is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of any
damage, contact our customer service department.
Use only the accessories supplied, or accessories expressly recommended by the
manufacturer.
Do not drop the product or subject it to any impacts.
Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, wide temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or persistent moisture.
Maintain a suffi cient distance from sources of heat, such as hobs or ovens.
