Safety Instructions
This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by

people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from this.
Children must not play with the device.

Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-
■
dren, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are super-
vised.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
■
away from the device and the connecting cable.
Warning of hot surfaces! Note that parts of the device and
accessories may become hot during use! Only ever touch
the designated buttons and handles on the device!
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
■
when it is left unattended and before assembling, disassem-
bling or cleaning the device.
Do not make any changes to the device. Also do not replace the
■
mains cable yourself. If the device, the connecting cable or the
plug of the device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer or customer service department or a similarly qualifi ed
person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
■
or a separate remote control system.
Dangers of Injury

Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging mate-
rial.
■
Danger of burns from steam escaping! Never open the water tank cover when the
device is switched on. Also do not pour any water into the water tank while the device
is hot! Hot steam or hot spray water may escape. Always switch off the device fi rst
and allow it to cool down before you add any more water.
■
Danger of burns! The storage plate, the fi lter and fi lter holder are hot during the
brewing process and immediately afterwards. There may also be hot water inside the
fi lter and fi lter holder. Let these parts cool down before you touch them.
■
Danger of burns! Do not move the device during the brewing process.
■
The device should not be used if it is damaged.
■
The prepared drinks are hot; be careful when handling hot liquids.
■
Lay the mains cable in such a way that it does not present a trip hazard.
