Two fall protection systems must never be connected
to the same anchor point; do not connect a lifting
system to the PPE anchor point.
The connection with the PPE anchor point on
Davitrac™+ must be made using an ANSI Z359 or
CSA Z259 approved device. connector.
5.7. Installing a load lifting device on the
Davitrac™+ head
The anchoring head of Davitrac™+ has an anchor
point for lifting loads. Attachment to the anchor point
must be made using a connector that complies with the
requirements of ANSI and CSA and is appropriate for the
load applied (see lifting system manual).
5.8. Using Davitrac™+ as an anchor point
for a rope-suspended work device.
To use Davitrac™+ as an anchor for a rope-suspended
work device, it is mandatory to separate the operator
suspension anchor and the fall protection anchor.
1. Use with a hoist
The rope-suspended work system (for up and down
movement) must be fixed to the bracket. The cable
must imperatively be routed over the lifting pulley on
the anchoring head.
The operator must be made safe with a fall protection
system that is to be fixed to the PPE anchor point on
the anchoring head, or using a Blocfor
bracket. Its cable must necessarily be routed over the
PPE pulley on the anchoring head (See page 11 - Fig.
17 for setup of the pulley).
2. Use with a rope
The rope-suspended work system (for up and down
movement) must be fixed to the anchor point on the
anchoring head.
The operator must be made safe with a fall protection
system that is to be fixed to the PPE anchor point on
the anchoring head, or using a Blocfor
bracket. Its cable must necessarily be routed over the
PPE pulley on the anchoring head.
