• Remove the mast locking pin (P) at location (X) (see
page 5 - fig 3.a)
• Install Davitrac™+ mast (M) (see page 5 - fig. 3.a) in
a Tractel
base (U) (See page 5 - fig 3d)

• Remove the boom articulation locking rod (L) (see
page 5 - fig. 3a - 3.b) and unlock the strut (C) to unfold
the Davitrac™+ boom (D)
• Unlock the boom transport locking system
• Position the boom strut (C) on the Davitrac™+ mast
(M) at its intended location (W) (see page 5 - fig.
3a - 3.c)
• Lock the boom strut (C) to the mast (M) with the boom
articulation locking rod (L) at location (W) (see page
5 - fig. 3a - 3.c)
• Insert the locking pin in the hole at the end of the
boom articulation rod (L) (see page 5 - fig. 3.a - 3.c)
• Insert the mast locking pin (P) at location (X) and
secure it with its locking pin. (see page 5 - fig. 3.a - 3.c)
The Davitrac™+ can only be used if the boom
articulation locking rod is inserted and secured with
the locking pin.
Depending on the base (page 5 - fig. 3), fit the mast
rotation locking rod (P) into the base at location (X)
(see page 5 - fig. 3.c)
Davitrac™+ is now in place (see page 5 - fig. 3.c).
5.1.2. Installing the Davitrac™+ jib crane and the
self-stabilising base.
• Install the self-stabilising base facing the working
area (fig. 6.a)
• Adjust the width of the base using the rod adjustments
on the removable legs. To do so, remove the pin, and
then the rod, and select the position of use for each
leg. Put back the rods and pins (fig. 6.b) The feet of the
self-stabilising mobile base must be positioned at least
7.9 in. (20 cm) from the edge of the hole. (fig. 6a).
Both legs must be in the same position. It can only be
in the following position:
• Narrow opening: 55.2 in. (1404 mm)
• Wide opening: 66.1 in. (1680 mm)

The adjustment of the width of the self-stabilising
base can only be done without the Davitrac™+
inserted in it.
• Adjust the four mechanisms so that the central base
assembly and the two legs are in a horizontal plane
(fig. 6.c)
• Install Davitrac™+ (M) (fig. 3.a) in a Tractel
• Remove the boom articulation locking rod (L) (fig. 3.b)
and unlock the strut to unfold the Davitrac™+ boom
• Unlock the boom transport locking system
• Position the boom strut on the Davitrac™+ mast at its
intended location (fig. 3.c)
• Lock the boom strut to the mast with the boom
articulation locking rod (L)
• Insert the locking pin in the hole at the end of the
boom articulation rod (L)
• Fit the mast rotation locking rod (P, fig. 2) (fig. 3.c)
Davitrac™+ is now in place (fig. 3.c).
When using the self-stabilising base:
No rotation is allowed with the narrow opening of 55.2"
(1404 mm) of the base.
The rotation of the Davitrac™+ jib crane is allowed only
if:
• The base is in wide opening of 66.1" (1680mm), and,
• The suspended load is lower than 330lbs (150kg)."
5.2. Dismantling Davitrac™+
WARNING
The operator must first be protected from the risk of
falling before any dismantling work.
While installing and working with the Davitrac™+
the operators must follow ANSI standards to prevent
falls during the set-up, tear-down and use of the
equipment.
To take Davitrac™+ off its base, remove the brackets
and systems installed on Davitrac

Depending on the base (page 5 - fig. 3d), remove the
mast rotation locking rod (P) (see page 5 - fig. 3.c).
