9.1.2
Window mode - Window function setting (Fno / Fnc))
The window function enables a range to be monitored. An upper and a lower switching point
which defines the range can be assigned to each switching output.
The particular output is switched when the temperature enters this range.
When the level leaves this range, i.e. when the switch-back point has been reached, the
output switches back. The lower switch-back value is just below the lower switch value. The
upper switch-back value is just above the upper switch value. The range between the
switching value and the switch-back value forms a safety zone which prevents from
unwanted switching operations (e.g. in the case of extremely slow temperature rises).
Example for switching output 1 (N/C and N/O function):
Hi.1 plus 1% FS
FH 1 plus 0,4 % FS
hi.1
FH 1
Lo.1
FL 1
Lo.1 minus 1% FS
FL 1 minus 0,4 % FS

Abbreviations: "FH 1", "FH 2" = High level 1 or 2 = top switching value 1 or 2
"FL 1", "FL 2"
"FNO"
"FNC"
Notes:
• Setting the upper switch value (FH) is only possible if it lies above the lower switch
value (FL).
• The window function only works properly (switching on and off) if all switch values
(including the safety margin) are greater than 0 °C (°F) + offset value and below
the upper measuring range limit + offset value.
