3.11.8 MILE OR KILOMETRE SELECTION
If you are driving in countries where different measurement systems
are adopted, you can change the unit of measurement of the distance
travelled and of the speed recorded (instant and average) from
kilometres to miles or vice versa. To make this change, the ignition key
must be OFF
. Now, proceed as follows:
•
Disconnect the power supply for a few minutes by removing
1
and refitting the general protection fuse. The selection menu
will appear on the display.
•
Turn ON
the ignition key.
•
Select the desired unit of measurement by giving the MODE
2
key light presses.
•
Confirm your choice by holding the MODE key down. System
operation is signalled by an arrow that appears next to the
corresponding unit of measurement.
3
•
Select 'EXIT' by giving the MODE key light presses.
•
Hold the MODE key down to resume normal operation.
Stored data (with the exception of TOD) will be reset.
This choice must be made every time the digital instrument
4
board remains without power for a few minutes.
IMPORTANT: using a unit of measurement that differs from
the one used in the country where you are driving may
5
lead to improper calculations, especially concerning the
vehicle's speed. Consequences include exposure of the
driver and others to dangers, as well as fines.
