TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
When the machine is switched on,
the steam light is flashing
Coffee does not run through
Coffee runs out too quickly
Coffee is too cold

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Steam dial is not in «STANDBY» position
Machine is not turned on or plugged in
Water tank is empty
Coffee grind is too fine
Too much coffee in the filter
Coffee tamped too firmlyt
The filter is blocked
The coffee grind is too coarse
Not enough ground coffee in the filter
Ground coffee not tamped firmly enough
Cups not preheated
Milk not heated enough (if making a
cappuccino or latté)
WHAT TO DO
Turn the Steam dial to «STANDBY» position.
Machine will commence normal heat up procedure.
Ensure the machine is plugged in, switched on
at the power outlet and the POWER button is
pressed to «ON».

Ensure you use a suitable espresso grind. Refer to
«Setting the Right Grind» on page 157.

Clean the filters. Refer to «Cleaning The Filters»,

Ensure you use a suitable espresso grind.
