BD Veritor™ Plus Analyzer Instructions for Use
Analyzer Information Display
Show system information in the display window.
Barcode Scanner Test Mode
This mode places the BD Veritor InfoScan Module barcode scanner into continuous operating mode. Any barcode presented to the scanner
will be read and the value shown in the display window. This mode may be used to verify that the scanner is functioning correctly by
scanning a known barcode, or may be used to confirm that the scanner is able to read the barcodes in use at a particular facility.
After scanning a barcode, its value will be shown in list form in the display window. Each value has an index number and the display window
will scroll up to show new values. Barcode values longer than a single display line will wrap to the next line. If no barcode is presented within
30 seconds, the barcode scanner will turn off and a timeout message will appear in the display window. To exit the mode, turn off the power
by depressing the front panel power button for at least half a second and releasing it. If the Analyzer is left unattended for 15 minutes (when
operating on the internal battery) or 60 minutes (when operating on the external power adapter), the BD Veritor Plus Analyzer will
automatically shut off and the display content will not be retained.
To enter this mode, scan the following barcode during the workflow configuration scan step. The test mode will remain active until the
Analyzer power is turned off. See section 4.6 for information on the configuration scan step.
