c) Preparing the model for use
Similar to a WiFi router, the vehicle provides a WiFi network to which you can connect your smartphone.
• Switch the transmitter and the vehicle on, if you have not yet done so.
• Go to your smartphone settings and enable WiFi. Search for 'FPV_CAR-XXXXXX' (XXXXXX = a combination of
numbers/characters that is unique to each vehicle) among the available WiFi networks.
• Connect your smartphone to this WiFi network. Since it is unencrypted, no password needs to be entered.
• When the connection is successful, close the settings and open the previously installed 'FPV CAR' app on your
smartphone.
You can control the vehicle with the transmitter or the app
(forwards/reverse/left/right). You can use the app to choose
whether you want to control the vehicle with the transmitter or
the app.
You do not need to insert your smartphone into the holder when
the vehicle is controlled via the app.
When you control the vehicle with the transmitter, you can in-
sert the smartphone holder into the transmitter.
• If you wish to attach the smartphone holder, insert it into the hole on
the top of the transmitter and ensure that it clicks into place.
• Insert your smartphone into the holder. The upper frame can be pulled
out slightly; the frame features an integrated spring so that it holds
the smartphone securely in place. The smartphone holder also has
two rubber strips that stop the smartphone from sliding out of position.
• The smartphone holder can be tilted forwards or backwards and
locked into place.
