▷ Clean the inside of the collet with the fine collet
brush.

NOTE:
Only use the provided collet grease when main-
taining the collet cone.
▷ Apply a slight coat of collet grease to the
threads of the collet.
▷ Screw the cleaned and lubricated collet in
reverse order to the stop back into the spindle.
CAUTION:
Danger of tool breakage!
▷ Make sure to remove the milling tool from the
collet chuck!
When the milling tool was from the Ceramill Mikro
tool holder:
▷ Place the tool properly positioned back into the
tool holder.
Maintenance unit
▷ Visually check the service unit for:
▪ Visible particles, debris or particulate matter
within the acrylic glass (signs for contami-
nated compressed air)
▪ Amber discolouration of the filter element
(sign of oil in the compressed air)
▪ Water in the filter (sign of water in the com-
pressed air)

Once any of the listed impairments is given:
▷ Correct the problem with the compressed air.
▷ Replace the complete service unit.

8.2.2 Monthly Maintenance

Checking the zero point
It is recommended to check the zero point once
every month.
▷ Mill a test cube from the Ceramill TEST 71L test
blank.
The test blank is to be used exclusively for test
milling and calibration of the Ceramill Mikro. The
corresponding instructions are on the Ceramill
Match CD or available on our website under
www.ceramill-m-center.com

8.2.3 External maintenance

External maintenance is necessary after a defined
number operating hours. The Ceramill Motion
Software will inform you appropriately.
