Installing the wheel
1. Remove the axle from the fork and check it for sharp edges.
If sharp edges are present, the axle must not be used.
2. Clean and lightly grease the axle and the axle thread.
3. Clean the contact surfaces between the hub and the fork and check for sharp edges. If sharp
edges are present, the hub must not be used.
4. Position the wheel between the fork dropouts.
5. Push the axle through the dropouts and hub.
Closing the RWS:
1. Turn the lever in a clockwise direction and secure as
tightly as possible by hand (min. 15 Nm).
Lift the RWS lever (A), turn it to the required position
(B) and let go (C).
If a RWS plug-in is being used, the lever can be
removed by pulling it (D).
2. Check to ensure the wheel is secured correctly in the
fork.
Opening the RWS:
1. Turn the RWS lever anti-clockwise.
Check before every ride
Before every ride, ensure that the wheel is securely
mounted in the fork. Ensure that the RWS lever is
tightened to at least 15 Nm.

Assembling the brake
1. Ensure that the thread length of the
fastening screws on the brake calliper or
brake adapter are at least 8 mm and no more
than 10 mm (see figure opposite).
2. Assemble and adjust the brake according to
the manufacturer's specifications.
3. Check the freedom of movement of all of the
components.
4. Ensure that the brake cable does not touch
the fork crown during use.

Checking the fork
1. Check that the fork and wheel are installed free from play.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the wheel used. To do this, bleed all of the air out of
the fork and compress the fork fully.
3. Check the functionality of the fork.
4. If there are any problems or malfunctions, contact the dealer or the DT Swiss service center.
