Setting the SAG
The SAG (negative spring deflection) is the degree by which the fork compresses under the
weight of the rider. For a taut frame, a lower SAG (15% to 20% of the fork stroke) should be
selected. For the best possible downhill properties, a higher SAG (20% to 25% of the fork
stroke) should be selected.

The procedure described here is intended as a guideline. The SAG should be selected in accord-
ance with the rider's personal preferences.
1. Set the fork to "OPEN" mode and push the O-ring onto the wiper.
2. With full cycling equipment (helmet, backpack, shoes, etc.), sit on the bicycle.
3. Assume the normal position.
Only strain the fork with the weight of the rider and equipment.
Avoid sudden load impacts.
4. Get off the bicycle and measure the distance between the SAG O-ring and the wiper.
This dimension is called SAG.
The SAG should be between 15% and 25% of the fork stroke and varies depending on
use and riding style (see figure above).
5. Adjust the air pressure if necessary. Repeat the steps above until the correct SAG is reached.
6. Screw the valve cap onto the valve.
