6 Handling
6.1 Transport
Careful transport avoids damage to the fork. The stanchions in particular must be protected
from damage.
6.2 Storage (> 1 month)
Careful storage prolongs the life of the fork. Note the following points:
• Reduce the air pressure.
• Clean the fork and control elements.
• For the remote version, release the tension of the cable strain in order to prevent wear.

Recommissioning after storage

1. Invert the fork.
The lubricating oil runs from the lower section of the fork over the bushings, therefore
lubricating them.
2. Gently compress the fork a few times.
The lubricating oil is distributed.
3. Check the air pressure in the spring element and adjust it as necessary.
4. Actuate the control elements several times.
The oil is distributed over the seals.
5. Check all of the functions of the fork.
If there are any malfunctions, contact the DT Swiss service center.
