Stroke setting accessories
Kit for stroke length adjustment for the RTC-CG,
RTC-HD, RTC-SB and CKP series
On the RTC-CG and RTC-HD series the kit for
stroke length adjustment can only be used on the
right side. On the RTC-SB and CKP series the kit
can be used on both sides. On the RTC-SB series
the kit cannot be attached to the end cover.
The kit for stroke length adjustment contains hydraulic
shock absorbers to brake the slide and the stroke setting.
To set the stroke, unscrew the adjustment screw (6) by
max. 12 mm.

Fitting the shock absorber in the cylinder end cover
1. Insert the stop sleeve (1) in the end cover (2) of the
cylinder. The stop sleeve must be fitted tightly in the
end cover.
2. Screw the shock absorber (3) from the outside into the
hole of the end cover.
3. Screw the locking nut (4) onto the shock absorber.
Tightening torque 6 Nm.
4. Screw the lock nut (5) onto the adjustment screw (6).
5. Screw the adjustment screw into the guide shuttle (7).
6. Pressurize the cylinder such that the adjustment
screw in the guide shuttle is tightly pressed against the
stop sleeve in the end cover.
7. Adjust the position of the guide shuttle by turning the
adjustment screw and lock it in the desired position by
tightening the locking nut (5) against the guide shuttle.

If a shock absorber with holder is fitted, the stroke
can be set at any value between the maximum
value and 0.
Fitting the shock absorber with holder
1. Insert the stop sleeve (1) in the holder (8) of the shock
absorber. The stop sleeve must be fitted tightly in the
holder.
2. Screw the shock absorber (3) from the outside into the
holder.
3. Screw the locking nut (4) onto the shock absorber.
Tightening torque 6 Nm.
4. Slide the sliding blocks (9) into the slot on the side of
the cylinder and mount the complete holder for the
shock absorber to the cylinder body using the supplied
screws (10). Tightening torque according to table 4.

5. Screw the nut (5) onto the adjustment screw (6) and
the adjustment screw in the stop bracket (11).
