Assembly of the closed press seal for
pipes to be newly laid (D=100 - 200
mm) from outside of building
Coat only the cut surfaces and pipe sealing surfaces
1
of the pipe seal with GM lubricant (not included
with delivery) (see fi g.: 4a).
Do not coat the outer sealing surface of the
pipe seal. This must be clean, dry and free of
grease.
Insert the media line into press seal and slide the
press seal from the outside of building into the core
drilling/liner until it's fl ush with the wall (see fi g.:
4b).
6 .1 R etrofi tted splitting of press seal on
already laid pipes (only for HSD)
To split the press seal, loosen and remove a screw
1
(see fi g.: 4c).
Fold out the front and rear press segment and at a
distance of approx. 10 mm from the screw drilling,
separate the rubber press ring with a sharp knife
(see fi g.: 4c).
Lubricate the rubber press ring on the division cut
with lubricant.
Legend for fi g.: 4c
1
approx. 10 mm distance to the screw hole
The front and rear press segments must be arranged
offset (see fi g.: 4d).
Fold the rubber press ring over the already laid
media line and close both press segments.
Re-mount screw, slide ring and nut.
Slide the press seal from the outside of building into
2
the core drilling/liner until it's fl ush with the wall
(see fi g.: 4e).
The media lines must be free of longitudinal
grooves and damage in the sealing area. (Pos-
sibly push media lines back or forwards a little
until grooves are no longer visible).
There must not be any continuous longitudinal

► The pipe seal is evenly pressed in as soon as the
rubber can be seen and felt in all inspection
openings (see fi g.: 4e).
Tighten screws cross-wise and step-by-step with
a maximum of fi ve rotations in each case until the
torque is reached (see table 1) and the rubber
emerges evenly from all inspection openings (see
fi g.: 4e).
Assembly of the closed press seal for
pipes to be newly laid (D=100 - 200
mm) from inside of building
Assembly is carried out as in chapter 6 work stage
1 and chapter 6.1 work stage 1, only from the
inside of the building.
Slide the press seal from the inside of building up
to the outer edge of the core drilling/liner until it's
fl ush with the wall (see fi g.: 4f).
The media lines must be free of longitudinal
grooves and damage in the sealing area. (Pos-
sibly push media lines back or forwards a little
until grooves are no longer visible).

Assembly of the split press seal on
already laid pipes (D = 250 - 500
mm) from outside of building
To open the seal, loosen and remove a screw at the
partition cut (see fi g.: 5a).
Fold out the front and rear press segment and lubri-
cate the rubber press ring on the division cut with
lubricant (not included with delivery).
