HSI150 1x1 GSM110/125/160 Varia
(HSI150 1x1 K2 Varia)
to ensure that layer-by-layer compaction is
carried out in the area of the wall inserts and
in the event of block assembly. Blowholes
must be avoided!
• The free fall height of the concrete must not
exceed 1 m so as to prevent separations in
the area of the conduit systems and wall base
points.
• If the free fall height is exceeded, a fall
cushion made of concrete at least 30 cm high
with 8 mm maximum grain size (also called
follow-up mix) is to be provided.
• The individual layers should be limited to a
maximum of 50 cm and compacted using the
internal vibrator.
• The uppermost concreting layer in walls
should always be re-compacted.

Preparing for installation of the pipe
connection
(work stages 1 and 2 only with
HSI150 GSM110/125/160 Varia)
After setting in concrete and before connecting the
1
cable duct, remove the PE closing cover from the
plug-in socket with HSI150 GSM110/125 Varia.
With HSI150 GSM160 Varia, the protective foil is
removed and the drive-in cover of the plug-in sleeve
is driven in and removed before the cable duct is
connected in the marked area in the centre (see
Fig.: 14).

duct (see Fig.: 15).
Spread lubricant GMT on the inside of the plug-in
socket and push the cable duct into the plug-in
socket as far as the marking.

Sawn-off sharp pipe ends must be chamfered
all round with a sanding or chamfering tool at
an angle of approx. 15°-20° to a length of 5
-10 mm and deburred before insertion into the
plug-in socket (see Fig.: 16).
Angle 15-20 °
Length 5-10 mm
• Due to the relatively high stretch coeffi cient
of thermoplastics, care should be taken to
note the length extension of the pipes at high
temperatures.
• Refi lling of the trench above the pipeline zone
is carried out in accordance with the use of
the entry area. Compaction using heavy com-
paction devices may not be carried out until a
minimum coverage of 30 cm above the pipe
apex has been achieved. Avoid overloading
the fi lled pipeline trench during construction,
e.g. driving over it with heavy construction
machinery or vehicles.
Preparing for installation of the
system cover/system seal
Completely remove the protective foil from the
cable entry (apply slight heat fi rst) (see Fig.: 17).
If necessary, clean the spanner inserts in the closing
cover by removing any residual concrete.
Open the closing plate by rotating to the left with
articulated face spanner SLS 6G(D) via the spanner
inserts (see Fig.: 18).
The appropriate system covers can then be moun-
ted.
• Open carefully! Entry may be under water
pressure with single-sided empty duct con-
nection!
• Please note the installation instructions for
system covers/system seals.
