separation line, and pull it off until the required
diameter area is visible on the segment (see fi g.: 4
and 5).
Repeat this step until each cable/pipe opening has
been adjusted to fi t the cable/pipe to be fed
through it.
• The number of segments that are removed
must correspond at all the associated press
seal sections.
• Segment rings must be removed without
leaving any residue.
• If more segments are removed than necessa-
ry, the entire cable/pipe seal will need to be
replaced.
• Unoccupied openings must remain sealed (see
fi g.: 9).
Following this, coat only the cut surfaces and cable
2
sealing surfaces of the standard press seal with GM
lubricant (see fi g.: 6).
• Do not coat the outer sealing surface of the
cable/pipe seal. The outer sealing surface of
the cable/pipe seal must be free from grease
and dry.
• In HRK100 SSG 1x18-65 b40, the lubricant
is already included in the EPDM material. Do
not apply any additional lubricant to the cut
surfaces or cable sealing surfaces.
Swing the cable/pipe seal over the cables/pipes that
3
have been installed (Internal hexagon of the screws
visible) and push it into the core drilling/conduit so
that it is fl ush with the wall (see fi g.: 7).
Segmented rings must not overlap in installati-
on (see fi g.: 8).
Unassigned openings of the standard press seal
4
HRK150 SSG 3x24-54 b40 or respectively HRK150
SSG 6x10-36 b40 must be sealed with the supplied
blind plugs (see fi g.: 9).
Blind plug opening must point in direction of
installation (see fi g.: 9)
Example: HRK100 SSG 1x18-65 b40

Following this, tighten the allen screws in several
stages in a crosswise sequence until the relevant
tightening torque is reached (see table 1) (see fi g.:
10).
Example: HRK100 SSG 4x8-30 b40
6
For the standard press seal HRK100 SSG 4x8-30
b40 or respectively HRK150 SSG 6x10-36 b40
fi rst slightly tighten the screws of the middle press
plates, then slightly tighten both of the outer press
plates (see fi g.: 9). Continue to do this alternately
until the specifi ed torque is reached (see table 1)

Example: HRK150 SSG 3x24-52 b40
For the standard press seal HRK150 SSG 3x24-52
b40 and HRK200 SSG 3x40-72 b40 fi rst slightly
tighten the screws of the middle press plate, then
slightly tighten both of the outer press plates (see
fi g.: 10). Continue to do this alternately until the
specifi ed torque is reached (see table 1) (see fi g.:
12).
Disassemble the standard press seal
HRK
Disassembly takes place in reverse order to assembly
(see fi g.: 13).
• Depressurise the core drill hole/wall sleeve.
• The press seal must be secured against sliding
out of the core drill hole/wall sleeve before
starting disassembly.
After disassembly, the standard press seal must be
dismantled into its individual components and recycled
according to the valid environmental regulations.

Attaching the FHRK seal

Clean an area next to the mounted standard HRK
press seal where the FHRK seal can be stuck on.
Peel off protective foil on the back of the FHRK seal
(see fi g.: 14).
FHRK seal
Stick FHRK seal on the cleaned area on the wall (see
fi g.: 15).
StandardHRK press seals are tested by FHRK ac-
cording to current test guidelines and bear the
seal "FHRK Quality". Stick the seal on the inside
wall next to the core drill hole/wall sleeve. This
allows you to demonstrate that you are using
tested quality products.
