CAUTION!
❐ Danger of burns from hot device parts! Allow the device to cool down before cleaning
it.
❐ Danger of electric shock! Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the
glass lid.
❐ Risk of electric shocks and material damage from incorrect handling of the de-
vice! No liquid must get into the device lid. This can cause a short circuit and set fi re to the
device. Never immerse the lid, the mains cable or the plug in water. Never place the lid in
the dishwasher.
❐ Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the glass lid.
❐ Caution! Material damage caused by incorrect handling of the device! Allow the
glass container to cool down before you pour in cold water. Too great a temperature differ-
ence may lead to cracks in the glass.
❐ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. These can damage the surface.
Do not use any metal objects. Do not use any glass cleaners.
1. Make sure that the glass lid is not connected to the mains power. Wipe the glass lid and the
heating element with a clean damp cloth.
2. Empty the glass container and clean it and the accessories used with warm water and mild
detergent. Apart from the glass lid and the basket, you can also clean all parts in the dishwasher.
3. Allow all parts to dry completely before storing the device in a clean, dry place that is
inaccessible to children.

Self-Cleaning Function of the Device

The device has a self-cleaning function. This makes it easier for you to clean the glass container
and the racks, but is in no way a substitute for thorough cleaning by hand or in the dishwasher.
1. Allow the device to cool down.
2. Remove any food residues and oil/grease from the glass container. The rack can remain in the
glass container.
3. Pour approx. 3 cm of clean water and a splash of detergent into the glass container.
4. Place the glass lid onto the glass container, leave the handle folded up, and connect the glass
lid to the mains power.
5. Set the temperature controller to Auftauen/Reinigen (Defrost/Clean) and the time con-
troller to 10 minutes.
6. Fold down the lid handle to switch on the device. The water will be heated and moved around
by the fl ow of air. This will remove dried-on food residues from the container and the rack.
7. When the device has switched off after 10 minutes, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket,
allow the water to cool down slightly (to avoid scalding) and then pour it away.
8. Wipe down all parts with a soft cloth.
