Use

CAUTION!
❐ CAUTION: Danger of burns! The device will become very hot during use. Make sure
that you do not come into contact with heated parts while or after using the device. Use the
gripper and kitchen gloves when you would like to put in or remove food. Be careful when
opening the glass lid as hot air or hot steam may escape.
❐ Ensure that there is suffi cient ventilation while the device is in operation.
❐ Make sure that there is at least 4 cm of space between the food and the glass lid (heating
element).
❐ Do not place food in the device wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags.
❐ Do not leave the device switched on for longer than 10 minutes without any contents.
❐ First fold up the handle on the lid before you remove it from the glass container. Only ever
place the lid down on a heat-resistant surface (e.g. a cold stove top or similar).
❐ Never immerse the glass lid and the cable in water or other liquids. Should the glass lid fall
into water, switch off the power supply immediately.

Preparation Tips

You can use this device for grilling, roasting, baking, gratinating, steaming, heating up and defrosting.
You will fi nd a few suggested recipes at the end of these operating instructions.
Grilling: Place the food to be grilled onto one of the racks supplied with the device. You
can also use the two racks as a double rack to place food that you want to grill at different
heights. Thick pieces of meat should be turned after around half the cooking time.
Roasting: Cover the bottom of the glass container with water, place the low rack inside it
and then place the joint for roasting onto the rack. Pour the juice from the roast meat over
it as it cooks.
Baking / gratinating: Place the food onto a baking dish whose diameter is no bigger than 26 cm
(as otherwise the air circulation would be disrupted) or a piece of aluminium foil. Place the
baking dish onto the low rack. Place a frozen pizza directly onto the rack.
Steaming: While grilling meat, for example, you can also steam vegetables on another rack at
the same time. Place the vegetables in aluminium foil and pour a little water over them. Seal
the aluminium foil.
Defrosting: Set the temperature controller to Auftauen/Reinigen (Defrost/Clean). Check
on the condition of your food every 5 minutes.
You will fi nd rough indications of cooking times and temperatures on the control
unit. However, please be aware that cooking times are dependent on the size and
quantity of the food and on the cooking temperature. However, the cooking times
are generally shorter than in a conventional oven. Start with shorter cooking times
and then adjust the cooking times to refl ect your own personal taste. Make sure
before you eat the food (in particular poultry, fi sh and meat) that your
food has been cooked through evenly!
Bread rolls from the day before will become fresh again if you moisten them slightly
and then bake them for a short period of time.
