Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ The device is suitable for grilling, roasting, baking, gratinating, steaming, heating up and defrost-
ing food.
❐ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
❐ The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
❐ This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers
resulting from this. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance may
not be performed by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
❐ Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device and the
connecting cable.
❐ Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
Incorrect operation and incorrect handling may cause faults with the device and cause injury
to the user.

Dangers of Injury

❐ Keep the device and packaging material away from children and animals. There is a risk of
injury and suffocation!
❐ The device should not be used if it is damaged.
❐ The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children and animals. The
mains cable must also be kept out of their reach. Otherwise they might use the cable to pull
the device down on themselves.
❐ CAUTION: Danger of burns! The device will become very hot during use. Make abso-
lutely sure that you do not come into contact with any heated parts during and after use
of the device. Only touch the handles and the control dials while the device is in use or im-
mediately after it has been switched off. Only transport or store away the device after it has
cooled down completely.
❐ CAUTION: Danger of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation! To remove
food, use the gripper which is supplied, oven cloths or kitchen gloves.

Danger of Fire

❐ Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Make sure that foodstuffs containing oil and fats are not overheated so that they do not
catch fi re.
❐ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re.
❐ Never switch on the device if the lid is not resting on the glass container.
❐ Do not place any combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles) on, in or
under the device.
