Important: The device cannot be switched off successfully
if a menu is currently selected.
Calibration and self-test
The device executes an automatic calibration routine each time
after being switched on or if the battery has been replaced.
To this end, the device must be held such that the
electrodes are free. A countdown from 5 to 1 in half
seconds is executed and shown on the display. The
actual calibration is carried out at the value 1.

After successful calibration the currently set wood type code is dis-
played for one second if the device is in wood moisture mode.
Operating manual – English
During the calibration procedure, "CAL" flashes on
the upper display whilst the lower display shows the
countdown value. Successful calibration is confirmed
via the message "CAL End"; the device is now
ready for use.
