6.0 Operation
This chapter provides information on operating the machine. You will learn the steps required for setting up, operating
and cleaning.
6.1 Preconditions
Before you can start pumping, you must have carefully completed the steps for commissioning and installing the
machine. Before you start pumping, make sure that:
-the machine is working and
-all of the individual components have been attached correctly and securely.
If a malfunction occurs during pumping, read the chapter "Malfunctions, Causes and Remedies" first. If you
cannot solve the problem yourself, please contact STORCH customer service.
WARNING:
Before material is drawn into the device it must be stirred.
Observe the soaking time for the material. The material must be machinable and diluted according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
Observe the expiration date for the material. All of the relevant information can be found on the container or
on the technical data sheet.
Observe the material temperature: the colder the ambient temperature, the worse the flow properties (this
is particularly the case for organic materials).
6.2 Disabling in case of emergency
Before you start operating the machine, first learn the steps for disabling the machine by heart!
Whenever an emergency occurs while operating the machine, you must proceed as detailed below.
- Switch off the machine using the ON/OFF switch.
- If necessary, give First Aid
- Record the emergency and report it in line with your company policies
- Investigate the cause of the error and remove it completely!
- Starting the system in line with commissioning rules

Switch the machine to rea-
dy mode by pressing the on/

will now start and build up
the working pressure set at
the pressure governor on the
pressure accumulator of the
compressor. Once working
pressure has been built up,
the compressor will automa-
tically be switched off by the
pressure switch in the pres-
sure governor.
