2.3.2.1 Wireless-Equipped Units

Color display units can be ordered with a wireless capability that allows
communication with the alphaScout Personal Network. This Network
capability is almost exclusively used in International markets. Contact
MSA for additional information.

2.3.3 Battery Life Indicator

The battery condition icon continuously displays in the upper right-hand
corner of the color display and in the lower right-hand corner of the
monochrome display. A bar represents the charging level of the battery.
The nominal run-time of the instrument (COMB, O 2 , H 2 S, CO, with
pump and monochrome display) at room temperature is 14 hours.
Actual run-time varies, depending on ambient temperature and alarm
conditions.
