Intended purpose
JuzoFlex Manu Xtra provides anatomical guidance for
the affected wrist, thus relieving it during movement.
The adjustable plastic rod and the textile strap provide
mechanical stabilisation. Medical compressive active
supports have a proprioceptive effect. They improve
self-perception and can compensate for muscle imbal-
ances. They alleviate pain and support the removal of
fluids from the tissue thanks to their rheological effect.
How to put on the product correctly:
1. Open the velcro strap and slide your hand into the
wrist support until the stabilising splint lies on the
inner surface of your hand. Put your thumb through
the opening provided.
2. Position the wrist support in such a way that the
ringshaped depression in the pressure pad encloses
the wrist bone without pressure.
3. Now close the velcro strap with sufficient tightness so
that you feel an additional stabilisation of your wrist.
The correct fit of the wrist support is assured when it
encloses the wrist tightly but does not apply a too strong
(painful) pressure to the wrist.
The wrist support can be readjusted at any time by
repeating steps 2 and 3 above.
Caution: rough, unfiled finger nails or sharp-edged rings
etc. may damage the knitted fabric.
Please note:
Only wear your support when prescribed by your physi-
cian. Medical aids should only be dispensed by suitably
trained staff of a medical products supplier. The support
can only be fully effective when it has been put on
correctly and is being worn in accordance with treatment
recommendations. The support is largely resistant to
oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environmental
influences. The durability of the material may be affected
by certain combinations of the above. We therefore
recommend that it be examined regularly by the medical
products supplier. Should the product become damaged,
please consult your specialist supplier. Do not repair
the support yourself – this could compromise its quality
and medical efficacy. For hygienic reasons, the support
is not suitable for treating more than one patient. The
sewn-in textile label is important for the identification
and traceability of the product. We therefore ask you not
to remove the label under any circumstances.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label.
Please remove the reinforcing stay from the support.
Remove the strap and close it to protect the hook and
loop areas from dirt and damage. Wash the supports
separately the first time (colour may run). Your support
should be washed every day or between uses on a
gentle or delicate wash cycle (30 °C). Tip: a laundry net
provides additional protection for the knitted fabric.
Please do not use fabric softener! When hand washing,
rinse well and do not wring. We recommend the gentle
Juzo special detergent. You can reduce drying time by
placing the support on a thick towel after washing, tightly
rolling the towel up and firmly pressing out excess mois-
ture. Then hang the support up loosely. Do not leave
the product in the towel and do not dry it on a radiator
or in the sun. Juzo supports are not suitable for dry
cleaning. The support is not suitable for tumble drying.
The removed stabilising splint can be cleaned with a
damp cloth. Then slide it back into the pocket provided
for it when the support is completely dry (with the bent
spoon in front – the open side of the hollow section
faces away from the hand surface). To finish, fasten the
strap to the support.
