The mobility of the ankle enables the foot to be placed flat on the ground as soon as the heel
strikes (plantar flexion).
The onboard sensor in the prosthesis automatically detects the gait phases and manages real-
time changes to the prosthesis' resistance.
The knee resistance will be adapted:

For going downstairs or down a slope
-
For sitting or bending down
-
In case of a trip (knee flexion locked)

Other uses besides walking, thanks to Biking, Free and Locking modes (knee
locked)
In case of alteration in performance, the knee or ankle may not behave as expected; for
example, the knee will remain stiff, in extension.
A certified prosthetist will train you in how to use SYNSYS correctly.
Intended use / Indications
This medical device is supplied to healthcare professionals (orthopedic prosthetists), who will
train the patient in its use. The prescription is drawn up by a doctor, together with the
orthopedic prosthetist, who assess the patient's ability to use it.
This device is for a SINGLE PATIENT. It must not be reused on another patient.
This medical device intended use is everyday activities, like walking and cycling.
IP54: SYNSYS is splash resistant (fresh water) and can be used in rain without risk of
malfunction.
Maximum weight (including carried load): 125 kg / 275 lbs
Not suitable for bilateral femoral amputees or people with hip disarticulation
Not suitable for children
The knee's maximum flexion angle is 125°. It may however be limited by the socket size
and shape.
This microprocessor knee-ankle-foot is to be used for
lower limb exoprosthetic fittings for transfemoral or knee
disarticulated amputees, having a knee-to-ground height
between 43 and 55 cm and a foot size between 23 and 30
cm. It was designed for an active person (IFC d4602 and
d4608, or Medicare K3, and K2 ambulators showing a
potential to become a K3), as it allows them to carry out
their everyday activities on all types of terrain as well as
negotiate slopes and stairs.
