4. START-UP
4.6. Operation in automatic mode
After programming and adjusting the VFD, and once the regulation of the pressure switches has been
completed and the network pressurised, the booster can be left to operate automatically. To do this, simply
press the drive buttons on the variable speed drives or leave all selector switches in the "automatic" (AUT)
position.
At this moment the booster is active and will start up automatically as soon as it is required. Regular testing
and proper maintenance should be carried out to ensure a long lifetime of the system and to avoid possible
malfunctions.
5. Periodic checks
In normal operation, the equipment does not require any periodic maintenance, although it is advisable
to schedule occasional inspections to check the correct operation of both the pressure pump and the
accessories and pumps that make it up.
It is particularly advisable to check the values of current consumption, discharge pressure when the valve is
closed and the maximum flow rate, so that faults and wear can be detected at an early stage and repaired
before they develop into more serious problems.
