4. START-UP
4.3. Equipment pressurisation
The pressurisation of the system shall be done by manually starting one of the pumps that comprise the
booster. It is very important to check for possible water leaks in the installation after pressurising the
equipment, otherwise it can lead to excessive starts in the booster and serious damage to the pumps.
For boosters with GPM, GPT, GLT switch one pump to -MAN- mode and keep running until the circuit has been
pressurised and the pressure stabilised for a few seconds. The pressure must be monitored by means of the
pressure gauge installed on the discharge manifold of the booster.
For boosters with VFD converter GLM, GLT, start a pump by means of the corresponding button on the keypad of
the VFD, having previously defined a suitable setpoint pressure for the installation.
After the system has been pressurised, the VFD will reduce the pump speed; the system is now pressurised.
Check that the pressure indicated by the variator (transducer reading) matches the pressure on the pressure
gauge. Otherwise, check the transducer scale setting or replace the transducer if it does not give any
reading value.
Check that there are no water leaks in the installation.
