2. Applications and Use
2.1. Permitted use
Franklin Electric pressure pumps are intended for both domestic and professional use in water supply, pressure
boosting, irrigation or liquid recirculation applications. They can be used in domestic, commercial, industrial
and agricultural applications.
The equipment must be installed in dry and flood-protected locations. Prior to the start-up of the
booster, it must be ensured that its location guarantees an environment in accordance with the degree of
protection of the elements (IP degree) and a correct temperature and ventilation that allows the booster
to work continuously without exceeding the maximum permissible temperature.
2.2. Pumped liquids
Franklin Electric pressure pumps are suitable for pumping clean, non-corrosive liquids
that are compatible with the construction materials of the equipment. Liquids shall have
physical characteristics similar to those of clean water at room temperature (maximum
density of 1030kg/m³ and maximum viscosity of 2 cPs. For work with liquids outside these

Inappropriate use can cause overheating of the equipment with consequences such as possible
breakdown and even fire hazard.
