Note: The indicated sound levels have been deter-
mined according to a standardized testing procedure
and can be used to compare different tools with each
other. Furthermore, these values are suitable to eval-
uate the loads that sounds can cause for the user in
advance.
Attention! Depending on how you will use the tool,
the actual values may deviate from the indicated val-
ues. Take measures to protect yourself from noise
pollution. In this process it is important to take the
complete sequence of operation into account. This
also includes moments during which the power tool
operates without load and moments during which it
is turned off. Suitable measures comprise amongst
other things regular maintenance and service of the
tool and the insertion tools, regular breaks and the
appropriate planning of the sequences of operation.

5. Unpacking
Open the packaging and remove the device carefully.
Remove the packaging material as well as the pack-
aging and transport bracing (if available).
Check that the delivery is complete.
Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be rec-
ognised.
If possible, store the packaging until the warranty pe-
riod has expired.
Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating instructions before using for the first time.
With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Replacement
parts can be obtained from your dealer.
When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for your equip-
ment.

Children must not be allowed to play with plas-
tic bags, film and small parts! There is a risk of
swallowing and suffocation!
6. Construction
Fitting the handle (fig. A - F):
• Fasten the handle (2) to the plate compactor (a)
with the help of the screw and the star-grip nut (b).
Screw is pushed through from the outside and fas-
tened with the screw and star-grip nut.
• Now fasten the throttle (1) to the handle (2) (size
8/10). The Bowden cable is fastened to the handle
(2) by mean of cable ties.
Fitting the rubber pad (fig. G + H):
• Rubber pad (c): Place or pull the plate compactor
onto the rubber pad (c) and align the holes. Then
fasten in place from below with the three fastening
screws (e).
Fitting the transport fixture (fig. X + Y):
• Transport fixture (f): Tip the plate compactor for-
wards with the handle (2) and align the transport
fixture (f) in the hole provided for it. The plate com-
pactor can now be set back down again and trans-
ported.
7. Safety information
• Understand your machine
• Read and understand the operator's manual and
labels affixed to the machine.
• Learn its application and limitations as well as the
specific potential hazards peculiar to it.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and their
proper operation.
• Know how to stop the machine and disengage the
controls quickly.
• Do not attempt to operate the machine until you
fully understand how to properly operate and main-
tain the Engine and how to avoid accidental injuries
and/or property damage.
• Keep children and bystanders off and away.
Work area
• Never start or run the engine inside a closed area.
The exhaust fumes are dangerous, containing car-
bon monoxide, an odourless and deadly gas. Op-
erate this unit only in a well ventilated outdoor area.
• Never operate the machine without good visibility
or light.
