The F2 die is provided with an evacuation orifice for
adhesive residues. After each riveting procedure, remove
any glue residue from all tools.
RIVET EXTRACTION
Before using the riveter and to make it easier to
remove self-piercing rivets, it is possible to make an
impression on the rivet with the centre punch tool
(ref. 048379) so that the extraction die is subsequently
wedged in the impression.
CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE
The GYSPRESS 10T PP CONTROL riveter does not require any special maintenance. A simple periodic visual check is
recommended in order to prevent any breakdowns or possible failure during use.
Clean the GYSPRESS 10T PP CONTROL riveter at least once a week to remove any dust and dirt that may affect the
long-term performance of the product. Use self-cleaning cloths. Do not use water, flammable or corrosive liquids.

WORKSTATION GYSPRESS 10T PP CONTROL
When making repairs to body panels, old or defective rivets must be removed from the
joined panels.
To avoid having to remove these rivets by drilling, the extraction tip and its die must be
used. They make it possible to extract the rivets while preserving the sheets.
THE OUTCOME OF USING FLOW-FORM RIVETS
If during extraction the rivet remains in the die's hole,
blow to release it before performing another extraction.
Stop moving the tip of the die forward as soon as the
rivet has been removed. Bringing the tip to a complete
stop can generate stress on the tip

and break it.
