Wear impact-resistant eye protection at all times when using the device.
Wear a safety helmet when working at height.
Wear protective gloves to limit the risks associated with exposure to vibrations and to dangerous work-
related outcomes such as cuts or abrasions. Repeated movements and exposure to vibrations can be har-
mful to the hands and arms, shoulders, neck and other parts of the body. In case of numbness, tingling,
stiffness or immobility, stop using the machine immediately and consult a doctor.
Wear safety shoes to avoid an accident caused by falling workpieces or equipment.
Wear warm clothing when working in cold weather to keep hands warm and dry.
Maintain a stable posture and secure footing when using the tool. The user should change posture during long tasks;
this can help to avoid discomfort and fatigue.
Do not aim the machine at the operator or at any other person.
Keep hands away from the compression mechanism; it is strongly recommended to hold the riveter with both hands.
Be aware that the machine's broken arm or component parts can become high-speed projectiles.
Regularly inspect the equipment for cracks; Injury may occur from the workstation's arm becoming cracked and falling
off during use.
COMPRESSED AIR USAGE
Never exceed the maximum pneumatic pressure listed on the back of the machine's indicator plate as well as in these
same instructions. Never carry the riveter by its hose.
Max. Air Pressure
Take care not to exceed the maximum operating air pressure of 10
bar.
ACP: Clean compressed air
Be sure to use only clean and dry compressed air to power the rive-
ter. Moisture and dirt can cause malfunctions and/or damage to the
device.
Pressure settings:
Once the machine has started, adjust the air pressure until a pres-
sure of 7 bars is displayed on the screen.
REPLACING ARMS AND ACCESSORIES
Use only arms and accessories that are recommended by GYS.
NOISE
The instructions must include a declaration of noise emissions in accordance with ISO 15744.
